Through wishes and desires
through fear and pain
as the clock ticks the final hour
will our time here be in vain.
I have smelled a thousand roses
I have danced a thousand sins.
But my memories hold me tightly
the scars that tattoo my skin.
A battle ongoing
a war we all perceive
collective but seperate
illusions we conceive.
To be gentle is to be firm
for love is the ultimate strength.
Our hearts bleeding for liberation
our souls all one race.
How many babes must be born
only to die by hate?
How many lives must be stolen
suffocated against their fate?
We must choose to rise
and if we fall, fall we must.
But know that when we rise,
in each other do we trust.
No fake alter.
No deceptions of a "God".
No lies of democracy
seeping through the fog.
No more voices be squandered
no more faces blackened out.
If there is soot we must nurture,
nurture we will and sort this madness out.
Souls grasped by fingers.
Let love be thy name.
Realize, finally, that everything is one.
Realize that one is of the same.
History holds truth
but repeating it holds only lies.
Deception and dishonesty
is only some of the disguise.
We roar with victory,
for our voices will be shared.
Each mouth saying the same thing
each smile will be there.
Let us not fear the future
let us not cling to the past.
The present is forever moving
like a pendulum front to back.
Let fate and destiny draw the outline
let us color in and out of the lines.
Life is so very precious
and there is only an infinite amount of time.
Love is eternal
and eternity is one.
We rise, we grow, we laugh, we love
until the director shouts the final "done".
Finally let the bridges meet,
let dimensions twist and pull in
let us wipe away our tears
and forgive our innocent sins.
